Coastal Navigation – In-Person Course
This is one of the few in-person Navigation Courses available in Australia. Gordon Syme has been running these courses for over 25 years and they are so much easier and vastly superior to online courses. With an in-person course, you are able to ask questions as they come up and get in-depth informative answers immediately and if you don’t understand a concept, you can ask questions until you do understand.
This entry level navigation course is designed to give you a firm foundation in practical navigation and seamanship. The course covers traditional skills such as buoyage, tides and passage planning as well as the latest in GPS and electronic systems.
This course can lead toward the RYA Day Skipper Theory certificate with a bridging course that involves an extra two days and an evening exam.
